About this scholarship
New Hampshire residents under age 21 who have experienced homelessness during their school career, as defined under McKinney-Vento, and are pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training may apply for the Hope Starts Here Scholarship from the NH Coalition to End Homelessness.
Awards up to $2,500 help cover college or vocational training costs. The number of awards depends on available funding.
Submit the application, official transcript, homeless-status confirmation letter from a school official or service provider, letter of recommendation, and a 500 to 1,000 word personal essay by April 20.

- A minimum of one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or other unrelated adult who can speak to the applicant's qualifications and experiences
- If selected, proof of post-secondary school/program enrollment before funds are released
