Hope College Distinguised Artist Awards- Creative Writing

High school seniors and transfer students planning to enroll at Hope College may apply for the Distinguished Artist Award in Creative Writing. Recipients must declare a creative writing major or minor and enroll in at least one creative writing class per academic year.

The award provides $3,000 per year, renewable for up to four years with a minimum 2.6 GPA.

Submit the DAA application with a short essay about your reading and writing, up to 10 pages of creative work in fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction, and a recommendation letter from someone who knows you as a student or writer. A completed Hope admission application is required.
