About this scholarship

High school seniors and returning undergraduates who reside in and graduate from Edwardsville, Illinois School District 7 with a minimum 2.0 GPA may apply for Historic Lincoln School Alumni Foundation grants while pursuing undergraduate or trade-school programs.

Grant amounts vary, with multiple students receiving awards each year. Grants are renewable for continuing undergraduate study.

Submit the application online or by mail with academic transcripts, an essay of at least 250 words, and ACT or SAT results for high school seniors. Include a full-time college schedule once registered. Applications are due March 30.

  • Must reside in and graduate from Edwardsville School District 7 (IL)
  • Must maintain a 'C' average (2.0 GPA) in high school or higher learning/trade school
  • Eligibility continuous for five (5) years after high school graduation while pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Copy of high school transcript (graduating seniors) and/or higher learning/trade school transcript required
  • Photocopy of ACT and/or SAT score results required for graduating high school seniors
  • Application captures economic need / annual family income, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, employment experience, and financial-aid status
  • Application must be mailed (postmarked by deadline) to P.O. Box 916, Edwardsville, IL 62025; no faxed or emailed applications accepted
  • Essay must be typed in Arial or Times New Roman 12-point font.
