About this scholarship

Texas residents pursuing a degree in horticultural sciences at Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tarleton State, or Stephen F. Austin State University may apply. Applicants must be full-time juniors with at least 60 credit hours or above with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference goes to residents of Kerr, Kendall, Gillespie, Medina, Real, and Bandera counties.

Two awards of $2,000 are disbursed in $1,000 installments at the start of the fall and spring semesters. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment to receive the second installment.

Submit the application by May 31. An interview may be required. Recipients may reapply in subsequent years.
