About this scholarship

Residents of Windham County, Vermont (with preference for Bellows Falls, Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Newfane, and Putney) who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need may apply for the Hildegard Durfee Scholarship. The fund supports residents advancing their education or pursuing graduate-level training for a career change. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited postsecondary institution approved for federal Title IV funding.

Awards range up to $1,500, with up to 44 awards available.

Apply through the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) Unified Scholarship Application, include the Hildegard Durfee Scholarship code, and submit any requested supporting documentation during the open period (typically October through the due date).
