About this scholarship
Full-time graduate students in public administration, public affairs, public policy, political science, or related fields at eligible universities may be nominated for the Herbert Roback Scholarship. Eligible schools include D.C.-metro institutions, Brandeis, John Jay College at CUNY, Maxwell School at Syracuse, NYU, SUNY Albany, Binghamton, or Brockport, and the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. Self-nominations are not accepted.
One award of up to $7,500 supports education in public administration. The recipient is recognized at the National Academy of Public Administration annual conference.
Nominated students provide transcripts, a resume, a 500-word personal statement, and two academic letters of recommendation to their institution, which submits the nomination package by the deadline. The scholarship honors federal policymaker Herbert Roback, a graduate of New York University.
