Herb it Forward Scholarship

Residents of the greater Philadelphia area between ages 17 and 21 in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, or Delaware counties in Pennsylvania or Camden, Gloucester, or Burlington counties in New Jersey may apply. Eligible applicants are graduating high school seniors, recent graduates, GED recipients, or first-year students at a college, vocational, or technical school who demonstrate financial need and a strong record of community service.

Thirty renewable scholarships are awarded across three tiers, with award amounts varying by placement. Recipients may also participate in leadership camps, mentorship, and community events.

Submit the online application with a transcript, descriptions of past community service and future plans to give back, and proof of family income if requested. Finalists participate in a virtual interview. The scholarship honors Herb Lotman, a Philadelphia businessman dedicated to helping others.
