Helen Veress-Mitchell Scholarship Fund

People living with HIV/AIDS in Northern California who are pursuing a two-year, four-year, or graduate degree at a credentialed college or technical school may apply. Award amounts vary. Priority goes to students enrolled in at least nine credit hours at traditional institutions with a 2.5 or higher GPA.

The Helen Veress-Mitchell Scholarship Fund was created in 2002 in memory of Joyce Mitchell's mother and has awarded more than $500,000 to students in Northern California through Capital City AIDS Fund.
