About this scholarship
HIV-positive students with ties to Northern California who are enrolled or planning to enroll in accredited two-year, four-year, graduate, trade, or technical programs may apply for the Helen Veress-Mitchell Scholarship from Project Positive (formerly Capital City AIDS Fund).
Award amounts and the number of recipients vary by cycle. Recipients must maintain good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA and provide enrollment documentation.
Submit transcripts from the last two academic years, proof of enrollment, two recommendation letters, and documentation of HIV-positive status. Priority goes to students enrolled in at least nine credit hours at traditional institutions.
