Helen Henderson was a freelance writer, Disability Studies student at TMU, and former Living reporter at the Toronto Star. After a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in the 1970s, she wrote a pioneering column mixing information and advocacy that brought disability issues into mainstream conversation.
