Hedy Lamarr Achievement Award for Emerging Leaders in Entertainment

Female U.S. citizens in their junior year at an accredited U.S. college, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and exceptional promise in entertainment and technology, may apply for DEG's Hedy Lamarr Achievement Award for Emerging Leaders in Entertainment.

The award is up to $10,000. Applicants submit a resume, a 1,000-word essay on leadership and initiative in entertainment technology, and a letter of recommendation from a professor or dean.

DEG's Canon Club created the award in the spirit of Hedy Lamarr, the actress and inventor whose frequency-hopping work helped shape modern wireless technology, to recognize female college students showing exceptional promise in entertainment and technology.
