About this scholarship
South Carolina high school seniors who are full-time state residents may apply for the Harry Hampton Scholarship from the Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund.
One recipient receives $5,000 per year for up to four consecutive years while pursuing a natural-resources major (wildlife biology, fisheries biology, marine science, or environmental science) at a South Carolina institution. Agriculture, forestry, general biology, pre-med, and veterinary science are ineligible.
Applicants are screened and interviewed before selection. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point ratio to renew. The Hampton Fund established this program in 1992 to promote higher education in natural resources in South Carolina.
