Harry and Frances Adaskin Scholarship

UBC School of Music students may be nominated for one or more scholarships from this endowment, with preference for gifted string instrumentalists. Financial need may be considered in selection.

Scholarships from this fund total $2,300; the per-recipient amount varies. The fund was established by friends, colleagues, and former students of Harry and Frances Adaskin to commemorate their sustained contributions to the School of Music. Dr. Harry Adaskin was a noted violinist and first Head of the former Department of Music, and Frances collaborated with many of Canada's finest artists.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the School of Music. There is no separate student application.
