About this scholarship

High school juniors in the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need (household adjusted gross income under $100,000) may apply for the Alexander Hamilton Scholars Hamilton Award. Up to 30 winners receive two $500 cash awards (at program entrance and exit), a laptop, and enrollment in AHS's multi-year Empowerment Program.

Submit an essay, activities list, and optional recommendation letters. Top applicants are invited to a phone interview and must commit to attending required Leader Weeks.

The Hamilton Award recognizes academic, personal, service, and entrepreneurial accomplishments among students transitioning from high school to college.
