About this scholarship

Undergraduate students (not graduate or professional) with PKU, HCU, MSUD, an organic acidemia, tyrosinemia, or a urea cycle disorder on diet treatment may apply worldwide; applications must be in English. One-time awards up to $5,000 are granted based on academic excellence and, when relevant, financial need. Prior recipients are ineligible.

Submit diagnosis verification, essay, transcript, and four recommendations. Applicants must be accepted to an accredited college or technical school before funds are awarded but may apply before acceptance is confirmed.

The Guthrie-Koch Scholarship supports excellent students managing inherited metabolic disorders while pursuing higher education.
