About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors from West Michigan Aviation Academy, or second-year undergraduates from any high school, studying aviation or flight science with a pilot's license (not a student certificate) and a minimum 2.75 GPA may apply.
Awards are up to $5,000.
A letter of recommendation from a professional in the aviation field is required. Apply through the GRCF unified scholarship application, which opens December 1 and closes March 1.

- This award is administered through the Grand Rapids Community Foundation's general scholarship application (some funds also require a separate supplemental application).
- Applicant must have lived in West Michigan and be attending or applying to a college or career training program.
- Application opens December 1 and is completed online via the Foundation's GoApply portal.
- A general goals statement of 500 words or less about yourself and your plans may also be requested in the application.
