About this scholarship
Full-time theatre arts majors at an accredited U.S. college or university with current or previous involvement in Grand Rapids community theatre (Civic, Circle, Actors, Jewish, Heritage, or Master Arts) or with the theatre program at Aquinas, Calvin, GRCC, or GVSU may apply.
Four scholarships are awarded annually. Award amounts vary.
Applicants must submit a resume and answer supplemental questions. An interview may be requested. Apply through the GRCF general scholarship application by March 1.

What else to submit
- Resume of theatre arts-related experience and training
- Three reference or recommendation forms, including at least one from an instructor or director of a performing theatre group
- Three-page double-spaced essay
- Resume of all theatre arts related experience and training (education history, theatre training/experience, employment history, performance/production credits, awards/honors)
- Three reference/recommendation forms from people with firsthand knowledge of the applicant's theatre arts involvement; at least one from an instructor/director of a performing theatre group
- Must be enrolled (or applying for) full-time enrollment in an accredited US college/university in some aspect of the theatre arts
- Must have theatre arts training/experience including one or more community theaters serving the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan Metropolitan Area
- If requested, submit to an in-person or virtual interview
