About this scholarship
High school music students in Kent or Ottawa County, Michigan may apply for support with music lessons, workshops, instruments, concerts, summer enrichment, or other musical materials. Funds may not be used for undergraduate college tuition.
Awards are up to $1,000.
Submit a separate application through the GRCF scholarship portal by March 1.

- Financial information, including family adjusted gross income and dependent/college-attendance counts
- 300-word-or-less statement explaining why the applicant should receive the award
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a music teacher or other music professional
- Be a high school student (grades 9-12, not yet graduated)
- Be a resident of Kent or Ottawa counties in Michigan
- Provide financial information (need-based: family adjusted gross income, number of dependents, number of family members attending college full-time)
- Short-answer fill-in fields (no stated limit): list training/education related to music; any awards/honors; proposed use of scholarship funds describing how money furthers music training
- Applicant and parent signatures (may sign electronically)
- Submit application by March 1 via email to scholarships@grfoundation.org
- Applicant must be in grades 9–12 and not yet graduated.
