About this scholarship

Transgender students, including non-binary, two-spirit, and other non-cis identities, pursuing a degree or certificate from an accredited college, university, or technical or vocational program with a satellite campus or permanent presence in Kent County, Michigan may apply for the Grand Rapids Trans Foundation Academic Scholarship. There is no age, GPA, or residency requirement; applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Recipients receive a $2,500 award toward education-related expenses.

Complete the Kaleidoscope online application, including a goals statement of up to 500 words on your plans, how the scholarship helps you reach them, and any barriers related to your trans identity. Students of color and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
