About this scholarship
Current student veterans (including National Guard or Reserve) or students on active duty who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time as undergraduates in the U.S. for the coming academic year, and who are pursuing computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field, may apply for the Google SVA Scholarship. Veterans need an honorable discharge; those currently serving must be in good standing with their branch.
Eight $10,000 awards support the upcoming school year. The program is a collaboration between Google and Student Veterans of America.
Applicants submit a resume or CV, unofficial transcripts, two letters of reference, responses to essay questions (500 words each), and either a DD-214 (veterans) or Active Duty orders plus a Memorandum of Understanding from a commanding officer (active duty).
