Graduate students enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution with academic and career goals focused on long-term wilderness protection in the United States may apply for the Gloria Barron Wilderness Society Scholarship through The Wilderness Society.
Two awards of $25,000 each support research and preparation of a paper on wilderness establishment, protection, or management within 24 months.
Applicants submit a cover letter, a 3- to 5-page proposal, resume, two recommendations, transcripts, and a budget by April 15. The scholarship honors Gloria Barron, a dedicated educator and wilderness protection advocate.
