Global News Scholars Award

Open to new SAIT students entering the Journalism program who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and identify as Black. Candidates should demonstrate financial need, community involvement, and academic achievement from high school. Preference goes to a first-time post-secondary student and/or a student with a documented disability.

One $3,500 entrance award is available for students beginning in the Fall semester. The award works to remove financial barriers for racialized students.

Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid by August 15.
