About this scholarship
High school seniors and college freshmen who intend to make music a central part of their future may compete in vocal or instrumental categories at the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society's annual festival in Clarinda, Iowa.
First place in each category receives $10,000 (second $5,000, third $3,000). Submit an application, statement of musical intent, and two contrasting concert-quality audition selections by the April deadline. Semi-finalists travel to Clarinda at their own expense for live competition.
