About this scholarship

Open to outstanding master's or doctoral graduate students in the UBC Counselling Psychology program in the Faculty of Education whose studies and career aspirations focus on career counselling. Recipients should demonstrate potential for contributing to student well-being in secondary or postsecondary institutions addressing school-to-work transition issues.

Scholarships are endowed by an estate gift from Dr. Gerald Sankey (1918-2016) and Mrs. Gladys Sankey (1920-2017). Dr. Sankey was a UBC graduate (B.A. 1943, B.Ed. 1954, M.A. 1959).

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
