Top-performing female Faculty of Science students entering Year 4 of study in biochemistry can apply. Recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, Ontario residents, and demonstrate financial need.

The award was created to encourage female science students to complete Honours degrees in biochemistry and increase the number of potential female researchers qualified for academic positions in the field.
