About this scholarship

First Nations, Inuit, or Métis students of Canada in second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Applied Science program at UBC may be considered for the GHD Foundation Award in Engineering for Indigenous Students. Preference goes to third-year students who demonstrate financial need.

Awards totalling $3,125 are available annually through a gift from the GHD Foundation.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science.

Established in 1928, GHD is a global network of multi-disciplinary professionals in engineering, environmental, design, and construction. The GHD Foundation was established in 2020 to promote equitable access to STEAM education and expand access for underrepresented individuals in these fields.
