German Studies Research Grants

U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time at a nominating U.S. or Canadian institution may apply: undergraduates (junior standing or above) in a German Studies track, master's students in the humanities or social sciences with a German Studies project, or Ph.D. students preparing dissertation proposals on modern German topics (not yet formally accepted one year or more before the deadline). Applicants need two years of college German, three German Studies courses, and nomination by a supervising professor.

Grants provide $2,000–$3,000 for short-term research in Germany.
