About this scholarship
Georgia high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited college or university in Georgia may apply for Georgia Mining Foundation college scholarships. Priority goes to students in counties where member companies maintain operations.
Individual awards vary; the foundation distributes $500 scholarships and larger awards paid over two years. Applicants must meet SAT or ACT score minimums, maintain an overall average of 85% or higher, and complete required high school courses.
Completed application packets, including a faculty recommendation, a 200-word essay, and a transcript, must be postmarked by February 27.
