About this scholarship
Domestic undergraduate and graduate students in UBC's School of Music who demonstrate excellence in woodwind performance may be considered, with preference for students specializing in the bassoon.
Annual awards established in memory of George Zukerman, OC, OBC, through gifts from family, friends, and the community are available.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the UBC School of Music. For graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is consulted. There is no separate student application.
George Zukerman was Artistic Director Emeritus of White Rock Concerts and a bassoon soloist who supported young Canadian musicians throughout his career.
