About this scholarship
Open to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students in geological sciences, geological engineering, and mineral engineering at UBC Vancouver. Fellowships and scholarships are distributed on the basis of need and distinction.
Scholarship support totalling $13,500 is provided through the bequest of George E. Winkler, a highly successful British Columbia prospector. Additional funds may be available to assist students pursuing research.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. There is no separate application.
