Graduating Engineering students in their 4B term who have demonstrated excellence in communication through outstanding work-term reports and an oral presentation of one report during their final term are eligible for this medal.
The award value varies. One medal is awarded annually.
Selection is based on work-term report quality and oral presentation performance in a competition held during the 4B term. The medal honors George Dufault, the university's first Coordinator and Head of the Department of Co-operative Education and Career Action and later a professor of Electrical Engineering.
