About this scholarship

U.S. citizen or permanent resident college undergraduates, graduate students, or non-degree students above high school enrolled at a U.S. institution may apply for the Garden Club of America Montine M. Freeman Scholarship in Native Plant Studies.

One or more awards of at least $3,000 support study of underutilized native plants at an accredited college, university, botanic garden, or arboretum. Research may include plant propagation, work with native plant collections, and managed landscape techniques.

Submit the application to GCA Headquarters highlighting your project related to underutilized native plants. International applicants are not eligible.
