About this scholarship
Undergraduate or graduate students of Armenian descent enrolled at a U.S. institution (or with proof of upcoming enrollment) who demonstrate LGBTQ+ activism may apply. U.S. citizenship is not required. Previous GALAS scholarship recipients are not eligible.
The Academic Scholarship is $1,000. Arts and education students may also be considered for the separate Nyrie Sevan Gharibian Scholarship. Submit the online application with short responses on Armenian descent and LGBTQ+ activism, a recommendation letter, and an unofficial transcript by May 31.
