About this scholarship
Current high school seniors who attend school in the ASCE Dallas Branch region (Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, or Rockwall Counties) and plan to pursue a civil engineering degree at an ABET-accredited four-year program may apply.
Award amount varies. Submit the application and required reference form to the Dallas Branch Scholarship Committee by 5:00 PM CDT on May 1. Incomplete or late applications are disqualified.
The G. B. Mann Branch Scholarship Fund was established in the early 1990s with support from George Boley Mann, a civil engineer known for public service and mentoring young engineers.

- Four typed essays of no more than 200 words each
- Signed certification
- Current high school senior attending school in the ASCE Dallas Branch region (Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, Rockwall counties)
- Will attend an ABET-accredited program in fall pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental Engineering
- Copy of official high school transcript
- Copy of ACT and/or SAT scores
- Two references (one teacher/counselor, one non-family personal) submit Reference Forms directly to the committee
- Applicant personal, financial, and scholastic information; top three universities; employment, activities, recognition, and volunteer history
- Signed certification; deadline 5:00 pm CDT May 1, 2026
