About this scholarship

Current or former foster youth ages 17 to 26 who lived in foster care after age 13, reside in Northern or Central California, and plan full-time enrollment at a California college may apply for the FUEL Scholarship.

Awards up to $8,000 per academic year are renewable and help cover the gap between financial aid and the cost of attendance, including tuition, housing, and living expenses. Funding is flexible based on individual student need.

Submit FAFSA or CADAA, transcripts, and a dependency verification letter with the online application. The program supports foster youth working to earn college degrees and build stronger futures.
