Friends of the Stockmen's Memorial Foundation Award

Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering second year or later in an agriculture or agriculture-related program at a Canadian post-secondary institution may apply. Applicants need community involvement, a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 (or 70%), a 500- to 750-word essay, and one letter of reference.

One or more awards of about $1,500 are applied directly to tuition.

The essay should describe your agricultural background, family connections, ties to the livestock or agriculture industry in Western Canada, and aspirations to continue that tradition. The Stockmen's Memorial Foundation was organized in 1980 to commemorate the Canadian livestock industry; this award was created with a donation by Dr. Bob Church.
