About this scholarship

U.S. high school seniors and students at accredited colleges who have persevered through bullying or worked to combat bullying may apply for Payton's Project Freeze Bullying Scholarships between February 1 and April 1 each year.

Up to 24 awards of $1,000 or $2,000 are granted annually at the committee's discretion.

Submit a video under five minutes or a two-page essay on anti-bullying efforts or personal experience, plus two recommendations, one from school faculty or staff and one from an educator or peer. Previous recipients may reapply.
