About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as undergraduates at two- or four-year colleges who demonstrate financial need may apply for Freeman-ASIA Awards through the Institute of International Education to fund study abroad in East or Southeast Asia.
Awards provide up to $3,000 for summer, up to $5,000 for a semester or quarter, or up to $7,000 for an academic or calendar year toward program costs, airfare, living expenses, and books.
Applications require endorsements from both study-abroad and financial-aid advisers by the posted deadline.
