About this scholarship
Male Alberta residents age 23 or younger who play golf and are pursuing post-secondary education may apply through the Alberta Golf Foundation.
One scholarship of $1,000 is awarded annually in memory of Frank Lindsay, a respected amateur golfer from Calgary. Selection considers academic performance, financial need, volunteer or community activities, and a personal statement.
Submit the application form, proof of enrollment, transcripts, and two reference letters by July 15. Scholarships may be renewable up to four years with reapplication.

- Two third-party letters of reference (sent directly to the Alberta Golf Foundation Scholarship Committee, following the enclosed reference-letter guidelines)
- One professionally taken head-and-shoulder colour photograph (2.5 x 3 inches) for publication
- Eligibility: male Albertan golfer 23 years of age or younger pursuing post-secondary education
- Application deadline: July 15 (July 15, 2026 for the current cycle)
- Academic performance is considered in selection.
- Scholarships may be renewed for up to four years with reapplication.
