Outstanding domestic Bachelor of Applied Science students specializing in Civil Engineering at UBC Vancouver are eligible for these scholarships. Scholarships totalling $2,050 are awarded.
There is no separate application. The scholarships are made on the recommendation of the Department of Civil Engineering.
The scholarships were established through an endowment by Franco and Suzann Corona. Franco emigrated from Italy to Canada in 1967 and worked on landmark development projects such as the Vancouver Shangri-La Tower. The couple hope the scholarship helps students who will be building the future in Canada access as many opportunities as possible.
