About this scholarship

U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled at Columbia who will study an intermediate or advanced modern South Asia language (Bengali, Hindi, Persian, Punjabi, Tamil, or Urdu) as part of an academic program focusing on South Asia may apply for Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships.

Academic-year awards include tuition and a stipend. Summer intensive awards provide up to $5,000 for tuition and a $2,500 stipend.
