About this scholarship

High school graduates with special talents outside the classroom may be considered for Florida A&M University's Presidential Special Scholarship. Applicants need a standard U.S. high school diploma or equivalent (including qualifying home education or overseas diploma situations), a 3.5 GPA, an SAT of 1220 with at least 600 on math (or ACT 27 with at least 27 on math), and must be college-ready with no remediation.

The merit award covers tuition-related fees minus the postal fee and orientation fee, or charges associated with room and board. Amount varies. Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student completes 15 credits each semester, maintains a 3.3 GPA, stays in the original degree program (no major changes), and does not receive summer awards.
