About this scholarship
Graduate students at a four-year college or university pursuing a career in the meat industry, preferably in post-harvest production, may apply for the Florence Smith Powers Memorial Scholarship from the Meat Foundation. Applicants need a minimum 2.75 GPA and must maintain that GPA with at least 12 units per semester while in good standing.
One recipient receives $5,000.
Submit an official transcript, a faculty letter of recommendation, lists of extracurricular activities and honors, a work-experience summary, and a 500-word essay outlining career goals related to post-harvest meat production. Apply online by April 30.
