About this scholarship

African American high school seniors residing in and attending school in Georgetown County, South Carolina, with at least a 2.5 GPA who plan to enroll in an accredited four-year U.S. institution may apply through the Waccamaw Community Foundation. One-time awards of $1,000 recognize financial need, extracurricular involvement, leadership, character, and personal aspirations.

Apply through the foundation portal. Selection considers recommendation letters and application materials.

The Felix and Juanita Rhue Scholarship supports Georgetown County students pursuing higher education.
