About this scholarship

Open to second-, third-, or fourth-year undergraduate students in the Biomedical Engineering program at UBC Vancouver who demonstrate an interest in applying engineering knowledge to advance innovations in healthcare, medical research, or clinical practice. Preference is given to students who demonstrate leadership in the field.

Award amounts vary. Funding comes from an endowment established by Dr. Ezra Kwok (B.Sc., Ph.D., M.D.).

There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the School of Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Kwok founded the graduate-level Biomedical Engineering program at UBC in 2006 and served as its inaugural Program Director until 2010.
