Ernest Poitras Scholarship

Métis Nation of Alberta citizens enrolled in any post-secondary educational program may apply. Selection is based on financial need and connection to the Métis community.

The scholarship is $1,000. Recipients are expected to receive the award in person at the Métis Week Gala in November.

Applicants submit a completed form, reference letter(s), a written statement describing eligibility and Otipemisiwak Métis community involvement, and proof of registration with program details. The award honours the late Ernest Poitras, a supporter of Métis education and culture.
