Entrance bursaries for Ontario students

Ontario residents starting university or college for the first time who will study full time at the University of Waterloo and demonstrate financial need may apply for an entrance bursary. Approximately 1,000 first-year Waterloo students in this group may receive one.

Bursaries range from $1,000 to $5,000.

The form opens February 1 on the Awards and financial aid tab in the Waterloo applicant portal and requires prior-year income and tax information from parents, guardians, or a spouse. The application deadline is April 15, with notifications starting mid-May for selected recipients.
