About this scholarship
Motivated, financially needy students who have resided in Ventura County, California, may apply for up to $1,000 in assistance with tuition, books, supplies, or housing. Preference goes to applicants under 30 who completed high school; all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. Up to 50 awards may be granted, with funds paid directly to providers.
Maintain at least a C (2.0) GPA during the scholarship term. Submit a completed application to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Ventura, where the Scholarship Committee reviews applications and the Board of Directors makes final decisions. Awards are renewable yearly upon reapplication and approval.
The Emma Nylen Charitable Trust Scholarship, administered by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura, helps county residents access higher education or technical training they could not otherwise afford.
