About this scholarship
Students with cystic fibrosis may apply for Emily's Light CF Foundation tuition scholarships.
Award amounts vary. Recipients are notified in late August, and funds are sent directly to the educational institution within ten business days.
Applications are scored on essay responses, school and extracurricular achievements, and writing quality. The scholarship honors Emily Inin Burnett and her legacy of inspiration through educational and personal achievement.

- Eligibility: person diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) who has been accepted to or enrolled in an accredited US post-secondary institution for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Submit answers as a separate page of typed answers in essay format
- Verification letter from a physician on MD office letterhead confirming the CF diagnosis
- Two references who can receive calls between August 1-14 (one must be non-family; second may be family)
- Signed application page
