Elizabeth River Crossings Good Citizen Scholarship

High school seniors at public high schools in Portsmouth and Norfolk, Virginia, and homeschooled seniors from those cities, who demonstrate citizenship and community involvement may apply for the Elizabeth River Crossings Good Citizen Scholarship. One senior is selected from each of the eight public high schools in Portsmouth and Norfolk, plus one homeschooled senior from each city.

Each award totals $6,000, disbursed in $1,500 annual increments for tuition or other educational expenses at colleges, trade schools, or other post-secondary institutions. Proof of enrollment is required each year.

Applicants complete the application, submit an essay on citizenship and community involvement, and provide two letters of recommendation.

Elizabeth River Crossings supports infrastructure and community giving in Hampton Roads, including education assistance.
